The Doberman is a German dog breed, created by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann, out of a desire to develop the perfect guard dog. In 1890, the goal was achieved after several dog breeds were crossed: Rottweiler, Pinscher, Beauceron, Manchester Terrier, Great Dane, and Old German Shepherd.

    Behavior

Dobermans are guard dogs that show loyalty, vitality, energy, and great agility. Dogs of this breed are fearless and do not back down when faced with a threat. Although they have a reputation for being bad dogs, they are not as aggressive and ferocious as is said, but it is good to train them to keep them under control.

    Intelligence

Dobermans are among the most intelligent dog breeds and respond very well to training, showing a positive and cooperative attitude with an experienced instructor. They are capable of learning a new command in less than 5 repetitions, and they can be taught a new trick in less than 30 minutes. The intelligence and attitude of Dobermans have made them one of the most common dog breeds in the police and military.

    Doberman Dog Diet

Dobermans are large/very large dogs that have a lot of energy, but they can consume it very quickly. Thus, it is good to feed them according to their size and energy consumption. It is important to provide them with a balanced and complete diet that offers them the nutritional values they need.
