2. Indications:
The product is recommended for strengthening liver functions in dogs and cats presenting liver disorders or even severe liver failure.
3. Properties and usage:
Phospholipids are glyceric esters of choline phosphoric acid and unsaturated fatty acids (linoleic, linolenic, and oleic acids) and have regenerative and protective functions for liver cells. Due to the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the side chains, phospholipids cannot be synthesized by the body. Once released into the body, they integrate into the cellular and cytoplasmic membranes of the liver and repair defects resulting from pathological processes. This allows for rapid regeneration of damaged liver cells and restoration of receptor cell functions, cellular enzymatic systems, and active and passive transport processes. Phospholipids play a crucial role in cell division and proliferation processes. They inhibit the fibrosis process of liver tissue by reducing collagen production and activating collagenase (an enzyme that destroys collagen). Along with bile acids, phospholipids play an extremely important role in fat digestion and absorption of fat-soluble vitamins.
Ornithine regulates the urea cycle in dogs and cats. It plays a role in transforming and reducing the toxicity of ammonia produced during the process of converting amino acids into urea. Particularly in cats, ornithine is very important because they also use amino acids in the process of energy production. 4. Dosage:
Hepatiale FORTE 170 mg - 1 tablet / 5 kg body weight
Tablets can be administered whole or crushed, before or with food.
If the daily dosage involves more than one tablet, they can be administered two or three times a day. The animal must always have fresh water available. For optimal results, it is recommended to use the product for 1-3 months, and in critical cases up to 6 months.
The correct dosage and administration period depend on the individual needs of the animal and will be determined by a veterinarian.
