Recommended dosage:
Dogs: 1 tablet per 10 kg body weight, once a day, for at least 4 months
Cats: 1/2 tablet per 5 kg body weight, once a day, for at least 4 months
Direne – allows time for urea to decrease in the digestive tract, preventing gastric and duodenal ulcers, so that specific treatment for AKI can restart kidney functions. It also has a powerful analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect on the nephron.
Properties of DIRENE active ingredients:
Ganoderma Lucidum - mushroom with cortisone-like activity - reduces kidney inflammation!!! Demonstrated antioxidant effect! Effect similar to cortisone - acts slower, but just as precisely and without side effects. • Anti-inflammatory effects similar to Diclofenac (Soniamol, 2009) • Antiallergic action – antihistamine – contains triterpenoids • Eliminates the production of allergic antibodies – prevents the appearance of allergic reactions. • Protects renal endothelium against cellular degeneration in case of proteinuria.
Astragalus - Herbaceous plant – traditional Chinese medicine – immunostimulatory properties, ↑sodium excretion, reducing proteinuria. Effective in nephritis that does not respond to diuretics. Turmeric - Contains curcumin which inhibits Cox2 enzymes and implicitly prostaglandin formation => anti-inflammatory action.
Chitosan - polymer of D-Glucosamine, also obtained by alkaline deacetylation of chitin. Binds Phosphorus. Cranberry Extract - beneficial action on the lower urinary tract - prevents the adhesion of G- bacteria (E.coli, Proteus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Pseudomonas) to the mucous membrane of the urinary tract, ↓the amount of uric acid that could lead to the formation of urate crystals.
