BENZOYL PEROXIDE Activity

• It exerts strong oxidant, antibacterial and keratolytic properties, stimulating healing processes and collagen synthesis.

• The antibacterial action is based on the release of

active atomic oxygen molecules of benzoyl peroxide, which inhibit the development of anaerobic bacteria.

• Through its proven antibacterial and keratolytic action, Benzoyl peroxide reduces the number of inflammatory lesions and comedones. It increases oxygen supply to tissues, easily crosses the stratum corneum, where it is metabolized in keratinocytes into benzoic acid. This is excreted from the body through urine.
