One type of food does not suit all dogs. That's why, when creating recipes, Royal Canin takes into account the specific needs for each age, breed, size, activity level, and lifestyle. Large breed puppies need food adapted to specific requirements. Why? Large breed dogs go through a long growth period during which they are sensitive to feeding errors. Especially too high a caloric intake can lead to accelerated growth. This can cause irreparable damage to the bone structure. Therefore, a diet with a high energy content should be avoided during the growth period.

Only special food that satisfies their moderate energy needs can be suitable for this type of puppy. Royal Canin Maxi Puppy food for large breed puppies (26 - 44 kg) up to 15 months is formulated to provide the correct balance of energy and nutrition for your puppies' size, breed, and activity level. The combination of nutrients supports digestive safety through highly digestible L.I.P. proteins and ensures balanced intestinal flora thanks to FOS and MOS prebiotics. Additionally, the antioxidant complex strengthens their immune system, and the balanced content of minerals and energy contributes to proper bone mineralization.
