The Exotic Shorthair is a cat breed with short, dense, and soft fur. It is medium-sized, with a large head, a flattened snout, and short ears with round tips. It inherited many of its traits from the Persian cat, which was the basis of its development. The cat has a teddy bear-like appearance due to its look.
Origin
Exotic Shorthair cats appeared in the 1950s after the Persian cat breed was crossbred with the American Shorthair, Russian Blue, and Burmese Cat. The Exotic Shorthair inherited general traits from Persian cats, such as size or a flattened snout, but fur length is a differentiating aspect. They inherited their fur from shorter-haired cats.
Exotic Shorthair Cat Personality

Exotic Shorthair cats have a gentle and relaxed personality, inherited from Persian cats, but they are more energetic than their ancestors. Intelligent, playful, and curious, they get along well with cats, dogs, and children. They are suitable pets for families, showing affection for their caregivers, but they dislike being left alone.
Care
The fur of Exotic Shorthair cats is dense, always standing up, and slightly longer than that of short-haired cats. It can be brushed twice a week. Ears and teeth should be checked periodically to ensure they are clean. Due to their eyes being very close to their nose, it is recommended to keep these areas clean to eliminate the possibility of infection.
Diet

The food for Exotic Shorthair cats must contain all the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients they need. These cats are susceptible to obesity, so it's good to have a feeding schedule for them. Premium or super premium food is recommended.
