The term Poodle can refer to several breeds: Standard Poodle, Miniature Poodle, or Toy Poodle. The origin of this breed is still uncertain, it is presumed to originate either from Germany or France. Being among the most intelligent dogs, Poodles were historically used for hunting, but nowadays they are considered more as pets and are used in dog shows.
Behavior
The Poodle is a graceful, loyal, and sociable dog that requires attention from its owner. These dogs need frequent physical and intellectual exercise to stay in shape. Lack of training or socialization can lead to anxiety or unfriendly behavior. The Poodle is a family dog, can be left with children, and is friendly with strangers. They are not territorial or aggressive, which does not make them a suitable breed for guarding.

Intelligence
The Poodle is an extremely intelligent, obedient, and easily adaptable breed. These dogs require both physical and intellectual activities, so it is recommended to make time for them. Dogs of this breed learn new commands quickly, requiring less than 5 repetitions. Poodles are very sensitive to their owner's tone of voice, so harsh discipline will not be tolerated by them.
Poodle feeding
Avoid giving them processed food. Thus, it is best to feed them appropriately for their size and energy consumption. It is important to provide them with a balanced and complete diet that offers the nutritional values they need.
