The Pug is a small dog breed with origins in China. These dogs are distinguished by their features: wrinkled face, flattened snout, curled tail, short and shiny coat. Pugs were brought from China to Europe in the 16th century and have remained beloved pets ever since.
Behavior
The Pug is a strong-willed dog breed, but rarely aggressive and suitable for families with children. This breed gets along very well with children and is quite resilient for playing with them. Dogs of this breed are playful and love to be in human company, but they tend to sleep a lot. Pugs want to receive their owners' attention and tend to follow them often. They also make friends with strangers easily, which does not make them ideal guard dogs.
Intelligence
The Pug has below-average intelligence for dogs. Despite this, this breed stands out for other characteristics, such as high instincts and adaptability. For these dogs to learn a new command, 40-80 repetitions are needed.

Pug Feeding
Pugs are not picky eaters, but it should be noted that they can develop a preference if exposed to certain foods from a young age. Pug owners must take care of them because they are prone to obesity. If you plan to change your dog's diet, it is recommended to consult your veterinarian.
